What took the EMS so long?

Around 11:30PM on the night of July 7th 2022 what sounded like multiple fireworks going off on 121-02 Sutphin Blvd was actually gunshots being fired into a car.  It seems that it took EMS over ten minutes to arrive. People in the neighborhood were yelling for the EMS to show. “Save him” is what one tenant in the Baisley Park Gardens complex yelled out several times to the police that was on scene.

Police officers in Queens discovered a gunshot victim in the back seat of a car on Sutphin Boulevard in South Jamaica.
The 32-year-old man had been shot in the neck and chest and was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he died.
Later, a 28-year-old man walked into the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds he told police were sustained at the same location.
No arrests have been made in any of the incidents and police said all were being investigated.
