Boston, Mass. (Jan. 27, 2025) – Masai Russell, the reigning Olympic Champion in the 100m hurdles, will take on Devynne Charlton, the world record-holder in the 60m hurdles at the 2025 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, organizers announced today.

The women’s 60m hurdles at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will see an exciting match-up between two of the world’s best hurdlers: Masai Russell and Devynne Charlton. Joining Russell and Charlton will be two other finalists from the Olympic final in Paris: Grace Stark of the USA and Ackera Nugent of Jamaica.

Other key match-ups that are coming into shape for Feb. 2:

• The men’s 800m will see a clash between Bryce Hoppel, the reigning World Indoor Champion and US record-holder at 800m, Mark English, the Irish record-holder at 800m and Elvin Canales, who last week ran 1:44.65 to break the Spanish indoor record for 800m.

• Dina Asher-Smith, the 2019 World Champion at 200m, will start in the women’s 300m versus the previously announced Julien Alfred, the reigning Olympic Champion at 100m.

• Josh Hoey, the new US record-holder and second-fastest man indoors at 1000m, Graham Blanks, the 2023 and 2024 NCAA Cross Country Champion, and Oliver Hoare, the reigning Commonwealth Games Champion at 1500m, will join the previously announced Jake Wightman and Grant Fisher in the men’s 1500m.
