George Onuorah is running in the 21st district encompassing Elmhurst, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Corona, LeFrak City and LaGuardia Airport.
Mr. Onuorah has invested over three decades of his life addressing some of the most crucial, pressing and challenging issues impacting the residents of Queens and New York City. Known as a compassionate centrist who is determined to make a difference, he puts welfare of people above politics and is fully committed to public safety. As we are about to turn the corner on Covid-19, Mr. Onuorah is ready to introduce a specific plan to get our amazing City on the road to full post-pandemic recovery.
George co-founded ‘Our World Media’ magazine about 10 years ago, with the goal to empower readers by disseminating critical news stories and promoting peace and global unity while staying out of partisan politics.
Mr. Onuorah has established himself as an innovative candidate who has lived in Queens for over 35 years and proudly calls it home. As an immigrant from Nigeria, he takes great pride in being part of arguably the most ethnically diverse community in the United States, and is looking forward to making it a better, safer and more prosperous place.
George served as a Liaison to City Council member, a Chairperson for Consumer Affairs on Queens Community Board 4 and a Chief Executive Officer of various humanitarian organizations. He is a prolific writer and communication strategist who studied mass communication in the early 1980s, and subsequently transitioned to politics and public service which remains his biggest passion to this day. He contributed to local communities by successfully participating in several County, City and State campaigns.
