Southeast Queens Federal Credit Union was born
Since 2009, Southeast Queens has ben the epicenter of foreclosure crisis in the State of New York. Many residents have lost their homes, jobs and businesses. For many, the recovery has been slow and painful. Consequently, in October of 2013, few residents got together to find solutions to this crippling economic plight: hence, the idea of a community based credit union in Southeast Queens was born.
