Selena Hill is an award-winning, multi-media journalist with a passion for social justice, women’s empowerment, and politics. She currently works as the Digital Editor for ​Black Enterprise ​magazine, where she covers trending news related to African Americans and the black business community and conducts on-camera interviews with celebrities and business luminaries like Phylicia Rashad, Spike Lee, and Janice Bryant Howroyd, the first African American woman to build a billion-dollar business.

Infusing her passion for journalism and social justice, Selena created “​Let Your Voice Be Heard!,​” a radio show and podcast that addresses current events, politics, and social issues from a diverse Millennial perspective. The award-winning talk show broadcasts on ​WHCR 90.3 FM “The Voice of Harlem” and is streamed via Facebook Live Sundays at 11 a.m. ET. A number of high-profile speakers have appeared on the show, including ​Sen. Cory Booker​, ​NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio​, ​Russell Simmons​, and former ​MSNBC host Toure​. The show has been covered in ​The Guardian​, ​The Source​, and ​Woman Around Town​.
Selena also works as a TV correspondent and assistant producer for “​What’s Eating Harlem​,” which airs on PBS local affiliate station NYC Life. On the show, she books and interviews prominent entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and movers-and-shakers in Harlem like restaurantuer and celebirty chef Marcus Samuelsson and playwright Vy Higginsen.
In 2012, Selena worked as the Special Election Coverage Reporter covering the 2012 presidential election at Russell Simmons’ ​​. In addition, she freelanced for the New York Amsterdam News​, one of the nation’s longest running historically Black newspapers, and has worked at ​NV (New Vision in business) Magazine​, where she’s landed on-camera interviews with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Angela Simmons, and Big Sean.
Selena was honored by The New York Association of Black Journalists Award for Best Blog Commentary in both 2017 and 2016. “Let Your Voice Be Heard!” won a New York Press Club Award for Best Commentary in 2016. Selena has made appeances on ​WNYC (NPR) and ​Bold TV​, where she was a frequent guest correspondent and co-anchor in 2017.
