2017 NYC Mayors Cup Track and Field Championship
The NYC Mayor’s Cup Outdoor Track and Field Championships brought out NYC best high school teams Benjamin Cardozo being one of them. The meet is a two-day event with teams from the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) and the Independent schools (AAIS).
Cardozo’s Girls wasting no time capturing the 4×800 Meter Relay title in 9:37.01 on day two (Saturday April 8th). This was a huge victory for the team early in the outdoor season. The relay team of Tatiana Martinez, Shalah Means, Sophia Muccini and Paris Peoples had a significant leading over the rest of the competitors with second place more than thirty meters behind them.
