Since February, I have been photographing 50 Queens chefs as the foundation of a tribute to the Queens food industry making it through the pandemic. These are not just any photographs — they are holding one item in their kitchen or restaurant which holds great meaning to them (it can not be a food dish or award). This is all about great storytelling and looking at a more joyous and deep way besides the typical look at their food. The fall will bring a full web site gallery, an opening event and a fundraiser for the industry. I am supported by QEDC and the grassroots group Queens Together.
